After many years of experience in the construction industry, both on the Czech market and abroad, my partner and I decided in 2016 to establish the manufacturing and trading company OBCHOD EU, s.r.o.

Our original idea was to operate in the fields of thermal insulation and dry construction, where we had the greatest expertise. However, this would have meant competing with other manufacturers and distributors primarily on price or lower quality—fighting price wars and compromising standards was never our style, nor our intention. We also did not want to take the path of importing products from China, Malaysia, or other countries, or supplying increasingly cheaper and lower-quality materials, as many distributors and manufacturers do.

This original concept changed after a meeting with representatives of Technical Textiles, s.r.o. Their two production plants—one located in Drahovice, Slovakia, and the second, a brand-new facility in Štip—offered us not only exceptional manufacturing capacity but also the opportunity to invest directly in production lines. For us, this was a clear choice and far exceeded our expectations.

Our goal remained clear: own production and our own brand.

Following a marketing analysis, we selected the brand name PERLINKA EU.

Our PERLINKA EU fabric has since become part of the flagship product portfolio of Technical Textiles.

Fiberglass mesh fabrics manufactured by Technical Textiles have been produced for more than 20 years for manufacturers of insulation systems and construction accessories, major retail chains, and distributors.

The tradition of producing fiberglass fabrics for the reinforcement of wet plasters, facade systems, floors, concrete, and prefabricated construction components—as well as products for heating systems, materials for reinforcement in epoxy and polyester resins, and various industrial applications—has been part of the owner’s family heritage for decades.

This high level of quality is supported by the use of proven and certified suppliers of raw materials and chemicals, as well as top-tier technology providers. The entire production process is fully certified and regularly supervised by a renowned European institute.

How Did It All Begin?

Our Journey – From an Idea to the PERLINKA EU Brand

Garage Beginnings (2017)

In 2017, together with a friend, we founded the company OBCHOD EU s.r.o. Our goal was clear: to bring a high-quality reinforcing mesh to the market under our own brand, PERLINKA EU. We truly started from scratch—our very first truckload of goods was unloaded at home, right in the garage.

Challenges and the Search for Quality

At the beginning, many obstacles stood in our way. The first delivered fabrics did not meet our expectations, so we intensively searched for a higher-quality alternative that would be comparable to the renowned Vertex brand. Our goal was not just business, but quality we could truly stand behind.

The Idea That Set Us Apart – The MIX Pallet

To stand out in a highly competitive market, we introduced an innovative concept: a special MIX pallet containing small roll lengths (10 m and 20 m), complemented by a sales display stand to support in-store sales. This format quickly found its place in building supply stores and became a turning point for us.

We also began printing our cartons with our own logo, allowing us to visually differentiate ourselves and strengthen brand awareness. As a result, PERLINKA EU products became easily recognizable and trusted by customers.

Growth and the Move to Our Own Warehouse

As order volumes increased, our home garage was no longer sufficient, so we partnered with RABEN, which provided warehousing and distribution services for us. While this cooperation helped us manage our first major growth phase, its capacity soon became insufficient.

In 2021, we therefore found and put into operation our own larger warehouse facilities. This step allowed us to significantly expand our product range, serve more customers, and begin producing products under the brands of major commercial partners—including holding stock for them under their own branding.

Brand Protection (2024)

In 2024, we successfully registered trademarks for both the PERLINKA EU logo and our sales display stand, taking our brand another step forward.

Where Are We Headed Next?

Our goal is to continue expanding, cooperate with new business partners, and offer smart, practical solutions for building supply stores, craftsmen, and major players in the industry.

We Care About Quality

To ensure our fiberglass mesh can be used in ETICS insulation systems and legally placed on the EU market, it must meet strict technical and legislative requirements. Below you will find the key documents that confirm our quality and compliance.

ETA – European Technical Assessment

The ETA (European Technical Assessment) is a key document for placing a construction product on the EU market when no harmonized standard exists. Our fiberglass mesh has successfully passed technical assessment in accordance with the EAD document and obtained an ETA, thereby proving its technical suitability and safety.

Declaration of Performance & CE Marking

Based on the obtained ETA, we issue a Declaration of Performance, which confirms the product’s declared parameters. The CE marking then allows the product to be legally distributed within the European Union.

Quality Class A – CZB Membership

We hold the highest possible classification awarded by the Czech Guild for Building Insulation (CZB) – Quality Class A. This certification allows our fiberglass mesh to be used as part of system solutions from renowned brands such as Weber, Baumit, Caparol, Sika, and Mamutherm in facade insulation applications.
